In the 1st quarter FUD made for Odlewnia Żeliwa Śrem foundry a large, i.e. with span up to 28 m, double-girder top running foundry overhead crane. It is customised to work with a grab Q=32/5t. The equipment was made for ŚREM SA Iron Foundry since the whole plant is being modernized. The overhead crane was designed to work on manual moulding line.

Another large investment is related to KGHM mining company. The construction of the new Pyrometallurgy Unit at Głogów Copper Smelter is yet another opportunity for us to tighten our good cooperation with this well-known long term partner.

"As part of the investment executed by Mostostal Kraków SA, we have already installed three Q=10t overhead cranes and one 25tcrane on site. Due to the prolonged construction work, there is one more Q=5t overhead crane waiting to be installed, along with the high capacity hoist. Currently work is carried out related to double-girder top running overhead crane with a hoist and hoisting winch Q=12,5/12,5t L=22m Hp=20m HDS A6, which is to be installed on the Metallurgical Slag Preparation Line. Girder constructions now await blasting after welding work" - explains Waldemar Zabłocki, FUD S.A. Production Director

The overhead crane ordered by Odra Cement Plant cement plant is at similar stage of work. The machine is to be fitted with an electro-hydraulic grab with Q=12.5t lifting capacity, controlled from the cabin. The equipment was designed for harsh working conditions at the cement plant storage yard.

Another project is under way in the city of Olsztyn. People from this city will soon be able to enjoy new tram lines and tram depot. FUD SA Management Board could not imagine not being part of such an important undertaking so we considered our participation in the tender for overhead cranes supply to be our duty and winning it one of the most important aims of the management. Currently FUD is working on the following cranes: single-girder suspended 1-hook overhead crane Q=1.5t L=5.6m Hp=6.4m HDS A4 and single-girder top running electric overhead crane Q=6.3t L=5.1m Hp=5.0m HDS A4.

We are also working on a single-girder top running electric overhead crane Q=4.5t L=8.0m, Hp=6.0m, HDS A3 for the same investor (Budimex), as well as three hoists which are going to be used in Warsaw's Water Supply Company ("Filtry") in a room where dust is removed from lime silos and in limewater reactor rooms. We have already prepared for transport and assembly two single-girder top running electric 1-hook overhead cranes Q=5t, L=approx.10.3m, Hp=5,75m, HDS A5, purchased by Pom-Eko company.
