We are pleased to announce that the quality of welding processes at the FUD Crane Solutions in Mińsk Mazowiecki has been confirmed by TÜV NORD. We were recertified according to ISO 3834-2 standard proving the quality of welding processes.. We achieved a confirmation that our factory has capabilities in the field of production and supervising certain products ensured by company equipment, used technology and qualifications of our employees in the field of welding.
We also received a new certificate confirming that the components of steel supporting structures up to the EXC 3 class manufactured by FUD Crane Solutions using specific welding processes meet the requirements of PN-EN 1090-2: 2018-09.
We are able maintaining the highest quality of production among others by support our the long-term partner - Kemppi. The use of products from a reputable company enables uninterrupted work and ensures a solid construction of the structures we produce. Therefore, FUD has been equipped with devices for TIG, MIG, MMA welding processes and gouging process. The factory also purchased ArcValidator system for equipment validation and, to meet safety standards, Beta 90 FreshAir welding helmets with air purifying breathing apparatus - for the health of our employees. Travelling platform with load capacity of Q=40tons, width of 5.10m and a total length of 22.00m is already working at our Client. The travelling platform was install on a railway foundation with three tracks supporting six tracks spread on 24 m wide.
The contract completion for one of our main foreign partners is approaching to the end. The preassembly phase was carried out and soon steel constructions of the portal jib crane will leave our production floor.
In reference with dynamic development, FUD Crane Solutions Ltd. enriched for another achievement. Obtained ISO 3834-2 Certificate is an objective proof that our welded constructions meet the requirements of international standards and applicable specifications and regulations.
In 2009 (http://siskom.waw.pl/kp-metro-2.htm) a consortium of three companies (later known as AGP Metro) won the tender to build the central stage of the Warsaw Metro underground transportation system. An important element of the whole project was the removal from underground of the earth where the tunnel would run and the lowering underground of the concrete elements which would form the tunnel within which the trains would run. AGP Metro needed a reliable and sturdy gantry crane capable of working 24/7 to complete this demanding task. FUD SA was the successful bidder in the tender process and supplied 2 gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 30t
The first stage of the central phase of the metro was successfully completed in 2015 after 5 years of continuous operations 24/7 and the cranes were put into storage.
When the next phase of the Warsaw metro project was announced AGP Metro were again the winning consortium and following a new tender process which was won by FUD SA, the planning started to commence the tunneling of the next phase which takes the Warsaw metro from C15 Dworzec Wileński to C18 Trocka. FUD’s role was to re-assemble the cranes which had been put into storage and recommission them in time to start drilling on the 10th May 2017. Working closely with AGP Metro’s engineers, FUD’s service team re-sited to C18 Trocka and reassembled the cranes, prepared them for the UDT inspection and assisted at the UDT inspection which took place on the 9th of May 2017.
Within minutes (!) of passing the UDT inspection, the first of the FUD 30-ton gantry cranes was busy offloading the first of the tunnel casings which had been delivered by road, while below ground the first of the 2 tunnel drilling machines (Maria) went into action and started breaking through a concrete retention wall and passing it’s drilled earth by conveyor to the cranes for lifting up to ground level.
AGP Metro work to a tight schedule which requires planning, discipline, regular planned maintenance of drills and cranes and the complete reliance on the serviceability of all the equipment.
Although the drilling is done underground, FUD’s cranes which are at ground level are a proud example of FUD’s products supporting that non-stop drilling process.

FUD SA has unbelievably wide range of manufactured products. Besides those described in former articles, e.g. small cranes, specialist cranes and cranes with high capacity, gantry cranes also leave our factory.
Gantry crane consists of girder ( platform ) situated on two or more supports (gantries). The equipment moves along runway arranged on the floor. Depending on client’s requirements, we produce single- or double-girder cranes. Of course it does depend on crane’s destined work.
What is more, gantry crane can have lateral outreaches. This addition increases the length of hoist’s drive, increasing at the same time the area of crane’s work. Crane’s control, just as in most of equipment manufactured by FUD SA, depends on client’s wish. Both design and manufacturing of that crane requires from our workers specialist skills due to crane’s measurements.
Like every other lifting device, which leaves our factory, gantry crane is always put to test. However, in this case the whole crane has to be turned 180° around an axis perpendicular to base, in order to perform proper testing. Crane’ s huge size result in equally complicated and laborious transport. Gantry cranes are usually needed in harbours, on building sites and also on loading ramps. Our clients use this equipment to load, reload and unload ships, cars or semi-trailers. The equipment work mostly outdoors, so it has to be properly constructed and resistant to difficult weather and environmental conditions.
