The second edition of The World Nuclear Energy Exhibition, which took place from 28^th to 30^th June in Paris, was also attended by Polish enterprises and research institutes, who have competence, abilities and experience within the scope of projects’ realization for the nuclear industry.
Around 700 expositors were present there and the Exhibition was visited by more than 10 000 visitors.
One of the expositors on the Polish stand was FUD SA. We were promoting our solutions applicable to nuclear power plant within the scope of building and usage.
Mr Andrzej Piotrowski, the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Energy responsible for nuclear energy sector, was a huge support for Polish companies and their promotion activities. During the presentation, which aimed at promoting Polish industry, he emphasized that “Despite the fact that Poland still doesn’t have nuclear power plants, it has already at its disposal competent research institutes and enterprises, which have been successively fulfilling particular projects for nuclear power.”
During the Exhibition we have had many meetings with potential clients. We do hope these interactions will flourish into future co-operations.

Having accepted the invitation from the Ministry of Energy, FUD SA will appear at the World Nuclear Energy Exhibition. This exhibition will take place in Paris from 28^th to 30^th of June. During these three days a wide range of meetings and conferences will be held. The main aim of this exhibition is to raise the awareness for many important issues such as laws, regulations and social problems connected with building an atomic power plant.
Our stand, which is under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy, will be manned by our team and they will take part in meetings, which promote Poland, its industry and the Polish Atomic Energy Plan. Additionally, the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency SA will be engaged in this symposium.

During the first half of 2016 the factory was under strong pressure due to the huge amount of orders for clients waiting for individually made machines. There was a noticeable growth in company’s trade volume and in the engagement in production, including employment both at production site and in design office. A lot of offers were untypical since they demanded experience in technical field in order to fulfil specific wishes for clients. The design office and then the production team and the assembly team created some technical ideas, which are quite innovative and non-standard. Despite the fact that the production process of these machines is nothing unusual for FUD SA , it was important to solve some issues connected with the logistic part of the process. Many cranes, which are to be assembled in different places in Poland, leave our production site monthly.

FUD SA produces mainly cranes with high lifting capacities and special untypical cranes. From January to May 2016 our factory was also producing ‘small cranes’ – mainly in group of single-girder Hercules and double-girders with lifting capacities up to 50 tons. These were typical cranes, known for their durability and reliability, ordered by our clients from different industry sectors. According to statistics a few single- girder cranes with lifting capacity up to 25 tons and a few double-girders cranes with lifting capacity from 20 to 50 tons leave FUD SA every month since the beginning of the year.

On the 18^th of June 2016 the representatives of FUD SA had the chance to show the company on XIV Job and Entrepreneurship Market. The aim of the meeting was to find new employees for technical jobs and to show the company on the city’s job market. Our stand, where the small jib crane could be seen, was awarded with the title „The most interesting stand”. Additionally, our team took part in the conference about the development of the company and the opportunity for the funds. 

We do hope that this meeting will result in gaining new qualified employees.

Since 1st to 28th of April, current year, at the Płock new power plant, FUD Crane Solutions LTD Service department assembled two overhead travelling cranes, with lifting capacity 250t each. In the project, team of 4 to 13 employees was involved. The team changed accordingly to current needs and because of Investor request for urgent crane use, also working weekends were necessary. Assembly process went according to strict technical and term schedule, that was coordinated with another contractors working at the end-customer side. To set the cranes on the railways, which are situated 22m above ground, another crane with lifting capacity of 400t was used.

29th and 30th of April, Technical Inspection was carried out, at which , load tests with load of 312,5t, were performed. Inspection was positive and finished with signing protocol approving safe operation of the cranes.

FUD Crane Solutions LTD recently completed the construction of two overhead travelling cranes with a lifting capacity of 250t each,  for a German investor.
The next stage of this contract, was their assembly at the end-customer's site in central Poland.
 
A total of 12 trucks were despatched from Minsk Mazowiecki to Plock. They  were loaded, with inter alia:
- Girders 35,5m x 3,2m x 2,5m in size, 4 pieces,   each one weighing 50t
- Trolleys 7,3m x 4,85m x 2,5m in size, 2 pieces, each one weighing  40t
In the case of three of the loads due to their oversized dimensions, , the assistance of a  pilot was necessary.
 
The operation was carried out  as usual, with the highest levels of safety in mind.
The delivery schedule was closely coordinated  with the crane assembly programme  as well as  with the investor's build logistics.

In September, FUD Crane Solution LTD was invited to participate in a conference on "Preparing the Polish industry to build nuclear power plants ", organized by the Ministry of Economy, the Institute of Welding and Technical Inspection Authority.

The program of the conference included: codes, standards and regulations for the design, manufacturing and quality management in the nuclear industry.

This event is associated with the implementation of new standards in the company to meet all requirements by potential suppliers to the nuclear power industry.

FUD Crane Solutions LTD is an experienced supplier of cranes to many conventional power plants in Poland. The scope of cooperation includes participation in the design of new investments, the supply of new products, installation and modernization of old crane equipment. Among the FUD clients there are international concerns and key power producers.

FUD Crane Solutions LTD performed the task entitled:
"Design and construction of the gantry crane and the hardening of land in the vicinity of the crane " for Elektromontaż -Lublin Sp. zoo.

Implementation was to deliver the crane and the execution of additional work involving the development of project design changes media network, surveys the ground, hardening the ground, obtaining building permits and obtaining other required permits.

The project was completed smoothly and on time.
